Saturday @ Sunway Giza *

Saturday evenings at Sunway Giza shopping mall is always a hustle-bustle; filled with shoppers, diners, couples, friends and families out for the night.

We decided to have dinner here tonight. It had to be a quickie since B was rushing home to catch his football on TV. The Bola Bistro is a great hang out for football fanatics by the way. Grab a drink and enjoy a night of exciting football frenzy with other fans here!

Aptly named Fullhouse Cafe, this is another popular establishment in Sunway Giza. It is almost impossible to get a table here since the place is usually packed!


After walking around all over the mall, we settled on Madam Lim's. The food here is okay; not great but it makes for a nice dinner of home-cooked dishes.

Below is what we had for dinner, in the order of arrival.

We stuffed ourselves silly at Madam Lim's then stopped by at Baskin Robbins for dessert. It was B's suggestion but one I was eager to nod to in agreement!

I had my usual Maui Brownie Madness, which is chocolate frozen ice yogurt with chunks of brownie and macadamia nuts, laced with chocolate fudge. The best part about this flavour is that it is also low-fat and yet delightfully delish!

It was almost time to return home and catch B's football match on TV. While paying for our parking ticket, guess who should walk in with BF in tow? It was Caroline!

Remember we met a few months back and she brought home-made yummy cookies for me? Well, Caroline is starting her new job here so I want to take this opportunity to wish her all the very best in her new venture and home.

After my initial shock of seeing this familiar-looking girl laughing and waving at me; we hugged, laughed, took pictures (thanks B and Eric), and hugged some more before parting ways. What a delightful surprise and welcome to Pee Jay sweetie!

Cookies from Caroline! *

My friend Caroline from Sabah insisted on bringing me a jar of home-made butter cookies on her visit to KL this time around. Isn't that sweet of her? While waiting for Caroline and Eric to meet us at Empire Gallery, Subang yesterday; B and I had a quick bite to eat. I had promised my sister Mel to take her shopping but first, we filled up our tummy-tums at Teh Tarik Place.

This was our first time dining at Teh Tarik Place and there was no telling if the food was delicious or otherwise. It has also been ages since I last enjoyed Fried Kuey Teow so I opted for a plate of this delicious local favourite. I always order my food "extra spicy" by the way, which I feel makes for a tastier dining experience.

Mel decided on the Fried Chicken Rice and she enjoyed it very much but I think B made the best choice with Roti Sardine, which was delicious! I daresay it's one of the best I've tasted so two thumbs up for an excellent choice!

We had just finished eating when Caroline burst into the restaurant with adorable Eric in tow. I think our laugh was simultaneous as we immediately recognized each other and embraced in what is no longer virtual but a real life hug!

I had told B earlier to snap pictures of me greeting Caroline but in the excitement of this first-time meet, my hubby got a little distracted. He did make up for it later with some candid shots of us gals!

Caroline had brought me a jar of home-made cookies, all the way from Sabah. I've never been to Sabah so it was really cool to have a Sabahan blog buddy visit me here in Selangor. Check out this picture of me taking out a little something from my bag for Caroline and she going "Awwwww, you shouldn't have". I could very well say the same thing about her taking the time and effort to meet me and drop off some cookies right?
