Tasty Brunch! *

Soft-boiled eggs are what I love for breakfast or brunch. It's usually the latter because I sleep right through breakfast most days. Soft-boiled eggs with a dash of soya sauce and white pepper makes for a tasty brunch starter.

Eggs to start your day

The place for our brunch - our neighbourhood Kopi Tiam. I love the icy cold teh tarik (milk tea) here. It's not too sweet, not too milky and it comes with plenty of ice. Smiley

Last weekend, I tried the newly-introduced Crispy Roti Canai (pronounced "cha-nai") cooked with Planta margarine. Roti Canai is a type of flatbread here in Malaysia and it is a favourite amongst locals when it comes to fast and tasty breakfast. Served with delicious potato curry and a small side dish of sambal (chilli), I was hooked after my first bite and will definitely order this again. Smiley

My usual order is the Hainanese Chicken Chop but last week I tried the Fish Chop for the first time. It was delicious! The coleslaw on the side is equally tasty and fries are always cooked to perfection, crispy with just the right amount of salt. All I have to do is sprinkle a little pepper before indulging in a leisure brunch with my darling!

Bon Appétit! Smiley
